This is my first 3D printed RC Model Boat on the water.
I was happy with the performance as a fast electric boat. Nothing broken; nothing cooked (once I completed the water cooling for the motor and controller).
ABS isn’t a high performance material compared to composites, but it is certainly practical for making fun model boats.

You should check out the OpenRC google+ group. It’s where a lot of different developers are developing everything from RC cars, planes, and if you join - boats.
