This is my first personal print outside of a service. It is my own design, The Nerdist Chariot. The original model was modified for a contest, I added their logo. The local public library has a Design Center where they allow folks to use one of there three MakerBot Replicator 2’s. Although I had printed an earlier version using i.Materialize (very good results) I got to do this one myself. The librarian asked that I reduce it’s size so that I could get it printed out in time. The smaller scale resulted in a few parts being too small (as I knew they would be) and there were some points of failure as a model goes, but this was a great experience. I fixed the parts that broke off during removal of support structure with a hot glue gun. Then I sprayed it down with Krylon Clear UV Protectant.

Thank you. If I hadn’t scaled it down - I’m certain it would have turned out better. But I’m happy with it anyway.
