This is probably not news to a lot of you but, if you’ve never tried a 0.6mm (or I guess larger too) nozzle go and order one right now. Fat layers are awesome, prints are so fast! After spending a long time trying to print a large, for me, piece the 0.6mm solved all my first layer issues and the print looks great!. I need to try the 0.8mm now too, oh and my I “need” a Volcano too.
I’ve tried a 1mm nozzle and the prints come out so fast. It’s amazing.
Also, in vase mode, I get a waterproof print. See these.
Have had a volcano since the release its awesome to see what fat lines can do… But I can also do skinny ones 1.2mm nozzle printing 0.15 layers
Doing prints with 0.8 nossle and above an layerhights at 0.1 0.2 gets a layer adheation like nothing before becuse the layer gets so wide ur parts become super strong. Love the volcano.
How much surface detail do you lose with a bigger nozzle? I wonder if you could have a dual extruder oe with a big and one with a small nozzle and direct the printer to address fine detail with the small nozzle only.
