This is the first composite i've tried that actually works strength-wise.

This is the first composite i’ve tried that actually works strength-wise. But @Tom_Martz 910 is pretty much an equivalent material at less than half the price and can be printed with a standard nozzle.
Are carbon fiber composites something you regularly use, if so - why?

sounds interesting for wear resistant parts.

Any idea how it works out in freezing water and daily freezing over and melting? The rough surface could be a bit of a problem for rain to enter, freeze and damage when expanding to ice.

I have been using the 3DXTech filled filaments for a while now and very much enjoy printing the PETG carbon fiber filled. 3DXTech also has a nylon carbon fiber filled that comes in at a much lower price point than the matterhackers product. Be interesting to compare and contrast the two. Main reason I use the filled petg is the increased stiffnes, surface finish, no smell, and the fill helps with oozing.
