This is the first Tripteron to be a 3d printer! Super excited.

Any chance it will come out to MRRF?
I think so. To be clear, it isn’t mine.
That was really amazing , nice to see other motion systems in action !
So now I know what happens when Delta and Scara gets a child.
“This unique and patented robot enables linear displacements in all directions.” … (https://youtu.be/beuY401hfh8) . I don’t know the implications of distributing the files for building it but looks amazing.

We have been in touch with the authors. I am the inventor of the Sextupteron/Hexapteron and wrote a paper with one of the authors. I haven’t gotten them to make it official but noncommercial use is good.
Interesting, looks like the angle of an arm bent translates directly to distance between a linear axis and the head … I have to wonder about mechanism rigidity and precision.
@Peter_Hanely I am told it can flex 1mm at the end if put an order of magnitude more force than you would expect during a print. My intuition tells me that is good enough but beefing the arms up is always a possibility. (I was told the Prusa gantry had more flex.)
Kind of surprised no one’s built one as a printer before now, tbh.
I started half a dozen times but the lack of official licensing agreement held me back and building the Sextupteron before I get 5D slicing software seems silly.
