This is what I like about my 3D printer, I find an issue, and the 3D printer solves it.
So I got a new sound bar for the TV in the bedroom, and for some stupid reason the REMOTE IR sensor is on top of the unit, so when you try to use the remote from the bed it doesn’t work. Unless of course your arms are 5 feet long and you hold the remote real high. 3D print to the rescue, fab, print, install and 1 hour later problem solved. Now the remote works like it should from the bed, or anywhere else below the top of the unit.
It simply works by bouncing the signal off the plastic to the receiver. Simple and effective.
Agree, it’s the little things that reminds you of why 3D printing’s cool. Of the gazillion things I’ve printed, my wife still thinks the pool skimmer hooks I printed and mounted on the fence are the bomb.
Are you sure that those buttons should not be on the top…? then the IR reveiver would be in front of you…
Don’t know Vizio sound bar, but speakers must point to you
@Anthony_Legrand yes it’s correctly oriented, I thought the same thing, just a dumb design, maybe why it was so cheap :)… And yes the speakers are facing forwards… :0
