This isn’t directly related to FastLED and it’s library but I wanted to share with anyone interested in my en-devours. While I figure out how to program the arduino and use the FastLED Library I wanted to get my display up and running. Since I’m more of a graphics guy I bought a T-1000S matrix controller. Using LEDEdit with just one line of pixels I’m tricking it into a different use than a matrix display. Here is the video that I plan on capturing into their software that I created. In my testing it should give me pretty good results for the time being while I figure out how to use the library and truly control the pixels with FastLED in my display! EDIT: I’ve published to YouTube here as well: https://youtu.be/O3r3DsGRwIE
Hmm, just seeing all black in the video. Is it still processing? Maybe put on YouTube instead?
@marmil weird, not sure. Thanks for trying to view it and bringing this to my attention. I’ve published to YouTube here now: https://youtu.be/O3r3DsGRwIE
Just tried again on a desktop now and I can see your original. It’s such a skinny (height wise) video that maybe my phone was cutting it off in some weird way? I generally think it’s better to upload to youtube and share the link.
Nice variety and should work well. Anytime the lights light up it’s good!
@marmil Yea I made it a thin (height wise) strip so that I could get the feeling of the STRIPS when editing it together. I’ll be creating some more these were just some quick ideas. I really want to get to the Audrino Mega and FastLED and programming as I think I’ll get some even more dynamic things going on…baby steps!
Your patterns are awesome. I need to do that. lol
@Darren_Hedlund Let me know if you have any questions. These are the tools I’m using… After Effects, Photoshop, LEDEdit 2017 and a K-1000C Controller. Just ordered a NodeMCU8266 but for now it was easier and quicker to just make some visual patterns and convert to the controller I have. The twinkle pattern near the end is really cool on the LED’s, Very easy to do on FastLED as I understand, I will be trying something like that when I dig into the programming soon. Thanks for the comment.
@Trey_Coursey Thanks, looks like more shopping for me…
