I don’t think it’s just 3D printers. I think you’ll also see soldering stations, laser cutters, small CNC lathes/mills, A/V areas for people to rent, etc.

One of our local libraries has three printers available twice wA week, but they limit use to one hour at a time. That simply isn’t enough for anything of reasonable size or complexity, let alone if it should fail. It’s ok for trinkets and to get people interested but not great for doing much of a project. Either need more machines or more availability.
