Both Bondtech arm removable (magnet)
Both Hotend toolhead removable (magnet)
Build plate removable (thumb screw)
And yes electronic controller also removable (the whole plate)

Easy swappable makes easy to try different things

I like this a lot in many ways, but I still don’t understand the crane style, the cost of adding a vertical rail on the other side is surely tiny compared to everything else you’ve packed in.

For such a relatively short crane arm It would not benefit from end of arm support. Aaand it is also hard to explain my affection for crane…

Fortunately or unfortunately cost isn’t at the top priorities for this printer. This is going to cost 1k+…

Duex5 on the back looks pretty cool. I didn’t realize it was as big as a Duet Wifi.

I had no idea you could bridge boards like that. :+1:

@Matthew_Del_Rosso It’s an expansion board designed for the Duet to get up to 10 steppers, plus a bunch more endstops and stuff. I THINK the ribbon cable is just carrying a whole bunch of GPIO pins from one board to the other.

@Ryan_Carlyle ohhhhh I thought it was 2 duet boards.

What does it do?
