This question is going out to the other moderators? Is anyone else checking the moderate tab and releasing posts that have been marked for review or flagged as spam? I don’t mind doing it just making sure people aren’t getting frustrated because some of the stuff flagged for review that should be posted, sometimes it takes me up to 8 hours to release a post (I gotta sleep sometime :P)
Yes I do when I come in at night and browse what is new.
Cool just making sure I’m not the only one
I took care of one post marked as spam by pointing the user toward a group that could help him with his problem better than we could and not clog up our chat with it
It allowed me to reply to that post but I couldn’t figure out how to release it like I can with posts marked for review… is there a way I can do that for future reference other than removing the post
Once a post is released, does it also automatically approve the poster for future posts?
Not quite what I meant. If you recall, two of my posts were removed after they were posted. Whether it was G+ doing some weird automatic moderation, or someone tagging them as abuse (which would be baffling), that’s for you guys to investigate. However, my question is, after my post got approved, does it now automatically allow me to post without it getting moderated again?
+Peter van der Walt actually some posts are automatically placed on hold for a review brought to you by Google spam prevention. How it was scripted and what to look for it am not sure. But it is a item I read before.
Correct, it could be a new user first post with a link to what they have and a question associated with it. It sees a link, a newbie posting and throws a flag for further review. whereas a user that has been a member can post links around all day and it won’t flag it.
So new users are kinda auto flagged it just isn’t visible to moderators, owners or the person themselves.
Let’s call it random screening. Lol…
I do check from time to time but never see anything so obviously others are beating me to it
