This took me the better part of the evening after my daughter went to bed. Placing the components is what took for-stinking-ever. But that’s my own fault for using really small 0402 components. I sure am glad I stopped drinking coffee early last year. But, at least I now have two power modules that are completed. Still untested, I will leave that for tomorrow in case I need to go running out of the house screaming FIRE! Also? I do not wish anyone to have a solder bridge on a TQFN like that MAX8903 on the right side of the board. Just saying.
Did you reflow oven these? Did you have Sauter paste screen did you just dab it on by hand? 0204 components are really really really a pain in the ass!!!
Skillet reflow. I have no idea what ‘Sauter’ is. And no one in their right mind would hand paste this stuff. A couple of them, sure, but not this. (And I did have to manually do a few because the screen was for an older revision and things changed.)
