Thank god for thermal runaway

What printer was that?

@Cristian_Martinez anet A8

I heard they were catching fire

My first thought was i should replace the wires with a bigger silicon ones for the heat bed
I moded every thing in it and forgot about the heat bed wires :stuck_out_tongue:

Poor quality. Right! But meanwhile everyone knows this and fix it before printing…

@Fritz_We_1twa5ntm3
you are absolutely right. the problem is when you forget about it and then comes around and bite you in a##

Absolutely! Maybe they should solder on the right wires in the factory…

It’s quite scary while so many 3D printing beginners are starting with suspiciously low-priced A8 just now. (They have been warned many times.)

Looks like 0.156" molex style, they should never be used for more then 4-5A…

@Stephen_Beeson not even the molex connectors shouldn’t exist the wires should be a silicon wires too and i was surprised when i received my prusa mk2 the heat bed wire were plastic that one flaw in the mk2 in my opinion

First thing I did with my printer was spin my own bed driver with 30A rated lug terminals.
