Thought I was missing something till it occurred to me it may be my browser. I’ve been using firefox with laserweb but they don’t seem to be on the same page as such. Installed Chrome and things are looking up. Is anyone else here using Firefox successfully? Wondering if its a plugin that in or missing.

Thanks my cnc machine is working very nicely I pushed through and learnt fusion360 as a point of pride. My overwhelming desire to be able to make anything had me thinking about your plasma project from a while ago. I got a cutter and made a holder for the machine and want to use laserweb to do the gcode. I’ll post pics if it works , if it doesn’t I’m probably just going to keep quiet. Either way as soon as I fired up in chrome things look much better.

The compressor thing was on my mind also it was a very old 24lt cheapy. I found they now make silent ones so I got a 50lt one and it’s so quiet the plasma torch is louder I’d be happy to have that running in my workshop. What did you do for the plasma switch looks like its 2 wires my plan is communica to see if they can match the plug and then run the wires to the controller possibly via a solid state relay.

Heres the holder there are 2 mounts I made one bolts onto the plate the other which I hope works well just clamps into the spindle mount. Obviously the wasteboard comes out and I’m planning a simple aluminium frame to hold the steel work bed and water catch tank. I find myself thinking so much faster than I can build that its frustrating. I barely have the cnc up and running and already I’m modifying it for plasma.

Mixed success. Worked right upto where the arduino stopped responding half way through the cut. I was manually pressing the button on the torch. But in all this is a a cut done with laserweb. The half circle was meant to be a full circle. And it starts from a point where the paint is chipped on the metal. I suspect that emf you spoke of is the culprit. Any tips on shielding.

OK so some work to do.

Would ferrite chokes help ?
