Thought I'd share my large Delta printer design.

Thought I’d share my large Delta printer design. I call it the monster kossel, because it is bigger than kossel XL size. Also it uses both open beam and open builds extrusions, to reuse extrusions from my kossel mini kit.

I’ve shared the design on thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/goeland86/collections/monster-kossel), but beware this is not a beginner printer. I powered mine with a replicape setup for silent printing with lots of CPU power. In the picture I’m printing 2 sections of the http://3dlabprint.com pt 17 stearman fuselage.

Oke

Nice! How is the torso twisting stability? I find that becomes a bit flimsy with the 15mm on the Kossel mini

I’ve had to install wire cross braces to reduce it, even with the beefy 20x40mm it was not super rigid. But I think it’s more a flaw in the design: the 20mm side is used to face towards the inside instead of the 40mm, so the stresses aren’t properly handled. I’ll have a redesign sometime this spring to fix that.
