Thought I’d try out a new manufacturer for filament and @ThreeD_Materials has PLA for $23 and a perks program that gives 10% back. I ordered a roll of grey to test them out. I was thoroughly confused when I got a box from Amazon with Inland brand filament, and a return address to Micro Center. Amazon has this on sale for $18 and the filament box has a price printed on it for $20. ThreeD’s website specifically says “our PLA”.

They ended up giving me a full refund, apparently they only ship other manufacturers’ filament if their out of stock of theirs.

I’ve printed Inland brand for years and have had no issues. Very very few jams in 30+ kg. Cost effective filament.

I tried 3 colors of PLA and 2 of ABS and they keep jamming my Ubis 13. Maybe I just need the 13s. If I’m gonna spend another ~$70 on a hotend I’m getting an E3D V6 though.

What temp are you printing at? I ran on my 13 and never had jams.

That filament is $16 every day at my Microcenter.

I tried anywhere from 190-215 C

Cleaned out your nozzle lately? Is there an extruder cooling fan? They’ll occasionally wear out…they continue to spin, but not move the air they normally do when new/normal…heat creep will then cause the PLA to expand above the melt zone.

When I tested Inland last it was with a brand spanking new nozzle.
