time to introduce myself, My name is Pim Zwager and i’m from the Netherlands. Since July 2014 i have been working on a project, which contains 50 meters of programmable LED strips and arduino’s. Yet i am currently not using FAST LED, this is my plan, since i see beautifull projects here  Last weekend i was finally to show everyone. Really exiting, what do you guys think of my project?

50 meters is an awesome amount of LED’s and the layout is pretty cool, however I think the animations themselves could really do with some FastLED love.

Nice build! I love these LED trees, like @keith_allan 's (https://plus.google.com/u/0/116364901102709013242/posts/bCAKZkesKY4). Have any details or source to share? Using the NeoPixel library?

@Andrew_Tuline that is the plan for the future

@Jason_Coon yes this was build using the NeoPixel library. sure i can share the source. what is a good place to do this?

Github (https://github.com) is a great place to share and collaborate on source code. Gist (https://gist.github.com) is simpler, and fine for single-file projects. Pastebin (http://pastebin.com) is also simple and easy.

Interesting looking controller box seen at the very end if the video. If it’s being used to adjust the LEDs I’d love to know more about that.

What kind of LED strips are you using? And wow, how many pixels in 50 meters?!

yes the color and different options can be adjusted via the panel. 30 pixels per meter, so 1500 pixles

Really nice Pim! I enjoyed it alot. Painting the tree in psychedelic colors for hours that weekend
