TL;DR; I’m peeking back in … for right now.
Life caught up like a freight train and I had to drop literally everything for a few months there. The good news is, I managed to do some serious re-arranging and re-organizing of everything electronic. In that process I also managed to pick up an Ultimaker 2 printer, a second oven which will help with hacking the first one, and I’m now on the hunt for a laser cutter, though not as expensive as an Epilog … Might start small before going bigger. I have projects on my backlog, as well as a few new ones which will incorporate the printer. And if anyone can start a petition to change our days from 24 hours to 37, I will greatly appreciate it. You really should look at playing with the apa102 - I think it will make your POV work happy
I’ve been meaning to get a strip of that, yes!
If you’re an Mac user, try the “ICal Expansion Pack” from Apple. Nine-day weeks of 36 hour days. There’s a Business edition where one additional day is a weekday and one is a weekend day, and a Home edition, where both additional days are weekend days, and the kids go to bed early.
Yeah, nice @Mark_Kriegsman … but I’m not (on a Mac).
By the way, I don’t suppose anyone’s implemented an APA driver inside of a 3528, have they?
(or for that matter, any other driver, even if it’s slower.)
Yeah I kinda knew that was a rhetorical question.
Oh, how timely! Mind joining the Glitter (http://fastled.io/chat) so I can ask you a quick Q?
Yeah I don’t know if I want to go that route … just yet. I may try to cut my teeth with one of the eBay ones, not the cheapie $400 one, but the larger $2000 one. Folks seem happier with that. And as far as modifications (which it will need), being that it’s a larger enclosure, it allows for more room to maneuver. We’ll see.
