Where is the link to the safety-page?
Well certainly not by clicking a screen shot.
But I see your point, this has tragedy written all over it for the misleading temperature figures and “buried” and vague safety page.
ahh, now I see the link. Sry, I had to pick my magnifier…
@Rene_Jurack I suggest you contact them to sort out any misunderstanding/typos before bashing the company. It’s a small startup therefore mistakes can happen.
I do use Capricorn tubing myself and it works really well and I do know a few other people who do think the same. Compared to the tubing I own the Capricorn tubing has lower friction/the same friction at a smaller diameter. Granted that pulling filament through the tubing is subjective. Maybe you should order some tubing and test it yourself.
Well, I came across the captubes website today and found major changes were made to their product description.
They now do prominently state at the very top of their ‚technical specs‘ page that „Printing at high temperatures may create harmful off-gasing“. And when clicking a link further, one can find a nearly completely reworked spreadsheet about the temperature range of their „safe printing temperatures“, even with links to sources about how dangerous PTFE can be if heated to certain temperatures and mentioning the danger for your pets.
If I think about these changes, this is probably more than I would have wished for. Ok, they could have just listed a „recommended max service temp of like 260C“ in their spec-sheet, but I get it, they want to make their product special and I am fine with this.
So, thank you Capricorn for listening to the brought up complaints and reacting like a responsible company in the end.
PS: There are still inconsistencies of the 1,8/1,85/1,9mm measurements on your site - but that is up to Capricorn
