To quote the terrible, terrible movie Mortal Kombat,
“Now for a taste of things to come…”
(Who knew it was a movie about space travel?)

Say WHAAAT?!
Yes, you’re seeing fifty pixels of WS2811, in window sunlight bright enough to cast shadows of the wires, and the whole thing is drawing less than 0.09 amps at 5v.
No Robert say “half a watt”
Ha ha ha half-a-WAT-T-F?!
Daaaaaaaamn!
What kind of black art are your practicing?
I think we’re way past any kind of “black art” here …
I would think the presence of light would show that it isn’t quite a black art going on here
I think you’re confusing “black art” and “dark art” …
I swear no chickens nor children were sacrificed to make this work.
I may have given up some of my sanity, however.
Ph’nglui mglw’nafh Cthulhu R’lyeh wgah’nagl fhtagnQ!
Ash bit durbatulûk, ash bit gimbatul,
Ash bit thrakutulûk agh burzum-ishi krimpatul.
I can’t decide if this is the NyQuil/DayQuil talking or if you’ve finally lost all your marbles.
so you’re blacking out the lights frequently but not enough that it’s visible? as opposed to the norm of retaining the last colour until there’s a new signal?
Full tech details and new code forthcoming on the sooner side. Short version is: “temporal dithering”, as has been discussed here a couple of times as an exotic theoretical possibility. I’d say something about “making the theoretical practical”, but that’s a different chapter, innit?
(One bonus point to anyone who can connect those dots.)
The nutty enigmatic punchiness will (largely) pass once we get this code out the door; Thanks to everyone for being patient…we’re doing our best to wrap it up asap.
Awesome! Looking forward to the details
