CHECK YOUR NUMBERS:
I was running into issues where my extruder drive gear was absolutely chewing through my filament, I thought it was a jam. Which it was, I went ahead a replaced the hotend, still, jamming.

I then was looking over my Slic3r numbers and I saw that my Extrusion Multiplier was set to 25 and it should have been .25

That one decimal point cost me a lot of time and I’m not sure what happened since I have been trying to solve this for a little over a week now.

When I saw it, my jaw physically dropped, I just couldn’t believe it.

So check your numbers.

Thanks for sharing, maybe you have saved someone a week

It was a definite face palm moment for me.

@Jeff_Karpinski for some reason one printer of mine likes a quarter speed extrusion. I have checked it over and am a tiny bit confused. I just haven’t put much time into figuring out why. All the other printers are spot on. Just this finicky one is the way it wants to be.

@Christopher_Derewian You probably need to calibrate your extruder steps/mm

@Carlton_Dodd you are absolutely right. It was one of the first printers I made so it could (and probably does) have old firmware settings. I will go and remedy that right quick. Thanks! Really!

You and I have GOT to have saved people time. I had a similar issue with retract and prime values. Its amazing how many variables come together to make a good print.
