Today - having some irritating issues with skipped steps,

Today - having some irritating issues with skipped steps, have recently temporarily moved printer into bedroom. Possible cause ???- after unplugging power to let the thing rest I noticed that printer power supply not completely plugged in ! (and some visible arcing visible on positive pin of plug ). Then I got thinking that I plugged printer into 4 pack that is plugged into other 4 pack / all up a lot of gear on it !! (which all runs okay as just computer stuff) I was going to list items, but no point letting my insurer know at this stage. Just makes me realise that 3d printer is not another bit of office gear, Due to hotbits I suppose…

oh the shame !!!

Plugging 4-packs in series isn’t usualy a problem load-wise, but every connection has a little resistance.
This could become a problem for your ground connection, making it unsafe to touch any metal parts of your printer.
The series resistance could get so high, that a differential breaker would not work correctly ( if you have one) leaving you exposed to a life-treathening current should there be a fault in your internal wiring.

Hi Rien, what about a plug half plugged in? Am i right in thinking this could cause arcing and possibly affect machine performance ? Cheers

I’m having a little trouble with my cristal ball here, but yeah, it could have something to do with that.
