Today I held a teacher class at @FabLab_Bern . After a introduction, a little bit modelling and some printing they were not fed up. They asked for more, more, more… 
One guy just contacted me and asked whether this printer is worth its prize. What do you think about this Mendel?

Has some good reviews, even cheaper on Aliexpress
Biggest complaint seems to be the plastic parts are a bit rough, and the manual is bad.
@enhydra Velleman’s K8200(http://www.k8200.eu)? They are sold all over the place and the ones I have seen seem to be well-built, machined parts etc. The Y-Z joint does not look very convincing but seems to do its job well.
@Mark_Zimmerman You could always toss a raspberry pi and OctoPrint at it. There are a few raspberry pi mounting cases designed specifically for that style of printer.
