Today I printed the Zombie Hunter Head (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:69709), sliced with Slic3r, 0.2mm layers and 20% infill. Printed on my @RepRap_Pro Mono Mendel using natural 1.75mm PLA with a .5mm nozzle.

I noticed that I have some problems with the overhand curling upwards especially at the ears and the cigar. What can I do about that?
The brownish parts at the cigar and the right ear come from me trying to push down the plastic with a scalpel (it seems it wasn’t as clean as it looks).

@Daniel_Schulte - I was having lots of curling and singeing (and eventually snagging on the nozzle) when printing steep overhangs until I got a decent part cooling fan. Discussed here: https://plus.google.com/103472336494894566958/posts/fEGuJnwaLSX
It seems to be a good idea to keep the printing temperature just hot enough to get good layer bonding, but no hotter. You want the new layer to solidify quickly before it starts warping. Sometimes, with quite small parts, the nozzle comes back to print the next layer before the previous one has cooled enough leading to a build up of heat.
You could try printing slower or printing multiple copies at the same time.
I still keep a steel ruler by the printer in case I need to quickly flatten a cool a layer before the next one prints.

@Richard_Gain I actually have a cooling fan but maybe I need to design a better attachment/guide for it.
