Today, I updated my nozzle-cleaning-brush for the lazy of us
http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:976673
nice find, i’ve been looking for some brushes like that.
I’d probably use brushes like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/10pcs-5mm-Rotary-Brass-Wire-Wheel-Brush-Tool-Shank-for-Dremel-Drill-Rust-Weld-/111744657482 instead, they won’t damage the nozzle, and they won’t melt when in contact with a hot nozzle like the nylon ones will.
@ThantiK yeah was wondering if the other one were gonna melt, thanks for the link these are perfect.
Nope, brass one DO wear down the nozzle. And no, the nylon ones don’t melt, as long as u just drive over them
@Rene_Jurack i’m not sure how they would were down ? but i guess if they did you could just use stainless nozzles.
I can tell from my own. Brass brushes wear down the nozzle. You can see it with the bare eyes. The Nylon Brushes are cheap and work perfectly fine. No melting at all. And stainless steel nozzles… Yeah, 25€ for one nozzle when complete hotends like the E3D-lite cost 35€ - maybe if I need them in the future…
@Rene_Jurack i guess so.
would be interesting to get one of each brush.
and write some gcode to test 10,000 cycles on each one.
