Today in the workshop… I added some cabling to my gantry as suggested by @Paul_Frederick in theory it will reduce the ‘raking’, time will tell if it has a noticeable impact.
Also I shifted the alignment of the y axis related to the x axis. Not sure how obvious it is from the pictures, the cut out was from my nexus 4 stand, and compared to the reference angle you can see that it was a couple of mm skewed out over only about 100mm.
I’ve tried to adjust by eye and the other corner is the resulting right angle cut. Again I need to run a real part to really see if I’ve made it better.
Still waiting for new router bits to arrive, which I was hoping for on Friday. One I get then I’m going to try my nexus 4 stand out of hdpe.
