Today’s prints are tiny signs! My wife is going to use them at her work to show when computers are not working. They have a little built-in clip that holds them upright. I switched the filament partway through to get the black lettering printed on. I found out that I can execute a pause in the GCODE by inserting an ‘M0’ command before the layer I want to change colors on. Works much better than the ‘PauseatZ’ plugin that comes with Cura.
Ha! Those look awesome. I would have been lazy and just painted the letter tops with a Sharpie. Nice job with actually switching the filament.
@marmil thanks! I tend to think that the reasons engineers invent stuff like this is so they DONT have to do it by hand. It looks a lot cleaner and has fewer chances of mistakes.
@Daniel_Jackman you can resume a M0 - strange that should invoke a shutdown (or M1-sleep). The M600 Filament change is not working on my printer so i use M25. (there is also M226 which strangely is not working either on my printer)
@Ulrich_Baer yeah. I tried M226 and my printer complete ignored it. It just blew right through it and continued with the code.
