Took a quick video of LED Fur Hat and gauntlet last night… ended up overexposed but it still shows the gauntlet reading a mode from the hat fairly well

Holy fuzzcow.
That’s absolutely fantastic and inspiring!

HAHAHAHAHA!!! I just submitted this to hackaday!

One, somewhat counterintuitive trick for getting photos/videos of leds - turn on the lights around you. Bringing up the ambient light reduces the amount of blowout that you get with the leds.

Yeah I could have also adjusted my camera’s exposure down a few stops to keep the high dynamic range, though I will take a “real” video of everything when it is all done haha. I am now working on having it all absorb into my fur vest and write each pattern sequentially as a new mode on SD… just need a few more parts to come in today

FYI several of the cincinnati burners I showed this thing to were creaming their wrap flow pants.

Hahaha, hopefully the next stage of this project goes smooth… I want to wander the playa at night capturing LED Souls of as many things I can, and being able to call them up at will :stuck_out_tongue:

Tell me this went over like tits on a stripper at burning man?

Oh yeah! It was pretty rad to be in the photos this year as opposed to just taking the photos… though I still took lots of photos anyways. I got the bare minimum of what I wanted to have working before going to Burning man, which is basically, the Gauntlet reads a mode, which communicates via Serial to Arduino 1 on the right half of my vest, so that the colors are absorbing into the vest, and in turn Arduino 1 communicates with Arduino 2 on the left half of my vest via software serial to seamlessly have the colors absorbing into the heart of my vest in various patterns ( 256 LED ws2812 16x16 panel). It was pretty sweet to wander around and absorb modes from Art Installations, while tripping people out
