Tore apart my “cable chain” in hopes I had a better solution. I didn’t. And this was the quick and dirty fix to get me up and running until I can CNC some better chain…

Hey thanks for sharing. Did you consider just routing the cable from above - suspended by a bungee cord?

Yep that popped into my head. But @ 4’ x 5’ table I didn’t wanna climb on top or do any real thinking. This is just to get me by until I have a chance to cut some out of hardboard

Have you checked thingiverse to see if there was a workable solution?

Yea… I can spend 15 hours “printing” one. This took me like an hour to manufacture. Like I said: Quick and dirty!

I was actually wondering if you could assemble the links from the material you are already using.

ahhh I think I understand now. But it’s working now, so I think I will cut some new wood ones while it’s working

Sometimes “quick and dirty” becomes the solution. It’s a readily available material that is inexpensive, if not free, and easily manufactured by you. If you do find a more permanent solution, it’s still recyclable as packing material for anything that you are shipping out.
