Trying to build a smartcore, but don’t really know how to cut the belts.

Not including the z belt, should there be 1 or 2? The model says 1 long belt… If the x and y axis are equal, do I cut it into 2?

You need 3 piece of belt in total: One for Z, one for X and one for Y.

So if the model says the xy belt should be 2860mm, and the x and y axis are both each 200mm long, how long should each belt be?

@James_Malenko those figures sound wrong, as a core XY the two x and y belts need to be 2x + 2y + allowance for bearings and other routing that increases the belt distance.

I don’t know the formula to calculate the lenght; just mounted one belt than cutted at right measure, done the same for the others.
