Trying to decide the best way to create a quick connect interface for all

Trying to decide the best way to create a quick connect interface for all the different controller cards to the LaserWeb test rig, to simplify swapping boards for testing. Anybody have any brilliant solutions?

I like that idea +Peter van der Walt How long would it take to design one? I can have the boards made pretty quickly at OSHpark.

Sounds good to me.

Sounds like fun. I’m concerned about size, hopefully we can fit it into 10x10cm

I’m warming up to the idea, for sure.

I don’t want to do it alone. But I will try start the layout if I can bounce ideas off you guys. Peter where’s your TinyG brain source?

Will take a look.
Ok, so several different brains. IO goes to a mux. I’m hunting for a 1:4 digital right now. Need some form of 4 position selector, could be a switch.
Do we want 3d printer stuff: mosfets and thermistor lines, or just motion and endstops?
And do we want motor drivers on board?

Sounds annoying. That would be a long row.

I’m familiar with this guy: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/9056
I’m just trying to find a 4 channel equivalent.

Haven’t looked at any of your files yet. As long as only one of the brains is active at any given time (separate power distribution?) signal diodes on each mcu output should suffice. If not, this is what we want: http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/texas-instruments/SN74CB3T3253DR/296-19155-1-ND/864386

Agreed.

Interesting
