Trying to grasp supportless 3D printing with the new 3D4Makers gold PLA. WARNING: Disembodied deer parts (no deers were hurt in the process).

PS: Sorry, not TNT episode this time. I kinda need some help with this hateful deer myself

Make those brims even bigger! =) I’ve occasionally applied more tape over the brim to anchor it (after the print gets tall enough to get my fingers under it), but that’s much harder with a moving bed.

@Tim_Visible hah, I would never think about this, lol
there was an idea to add some glue there on the go or at least to hold it with pliers manually, but some tape would definitely help!

thank you, I’ll try it this way

+Mark Ellison yes! I’m thinking of printing without the tape too ^^

damn… never understood the issues… I use a brass removable plate on which I apply uhu glue (stick form) and i’ve never had any issues with prints coming undone. I’ve printed this baby to be 20cm tall and used the standard brim from Cura. 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm layer height and 70mm/s speed using e-sun gold filament.
