Trying to pick up the pieces after major life changes and get my 3d stuff maker running.
I bought this as a kit almost 4 years ago now and had issues with feed. Ordered some replacement parts (wrong style ) tried to call tech support (major fail ) troubleshooting issues myself and decided problem was the cheesy hobs style feeder. Still wanted to make it work (fail) did more research decided to go to a direct drive feeder and now I have the problem of over feeding (firmware still set up for 3:1 reduction ) board is gen 6 any and all help appreciated. …thanks for reading. …Chris
You need to change the steps per mm on the extruder. Some firmware requires a new build with the correct steps. I always hated that so we (Printrbot) added an McDowell to change it on the fly and save to eeprom w/o requiring a recompile. You need to find this requirement first.
Does anyone know if mainline marlin offers that mcode? Or will it mean a recompile.
A hack would be to dual down the extrusion multiplier by 3x, but then you’d be out in left field
Thanks
Think the re-compile is only option but mfgr not open to me accessing the firmware so I have blank replacement board but no idea how to get firmware onto the darn thing? ?
