Two more attempts:

These worked pretty well, the bridging problem appears to be fixed (though you can’t see it in the pictures), and it appears to be sticking well on blue tape and hairspray. I switched away from FrogTape because of the weird bubble/lifting problem I had with it. To get these, I turned down the temperature, increased the solid layer count, and used a fan. There wasn’t much warping on the bottom layer, but the adhesion between the first and succeeding layers was pretty bad. Actually, that’s happening no matter what material I try to print.

The cube hardly had any sticking problems at all, which was probably due to the residual amount of PLA in the extruder from previous prints. Thanks to all the people who gave me advice and have helped me try to solve this “ABS on a cold bed” problem. All in all, I think I’ve come to a conclusion: this would be a lot easier if I would just buy/build a heated bed. Thanks once again!

Or not print with abs.

I found I had to increase my temperatures to get good layer binding. The whole “print as cold as you can” idea just didn’t work for me. Also over cooling the part between layers really messed up layer binding.

+Peter van der Walt Cool, thank you! I’ll look into that.
@Michael_Scholtz Well, that’s what I meant. I’m definitely not going to stop printing period!
@Richard_Mitchell Thanks! I increased my temperature on some PLA stuff I printed last night, and it really helped.
@Matt_Olsen1 Thank you! I’ll keep that in mind to try.
