how did you convert that pic into a … STL ?

Just Google “free character posing software” and you’ll be sure to find something dazzling to download.
That’s just the beginning though. You will need to learn to use the program, export to OBJ, import into a mesh editor like Blender and then begin the clean-up process. Once you have checked for non-manifold edges, removed all the self-intersecting faces, corrected the normals, made the mesh ‘watertight’ and levelled the base, then you can save the file as an STL and start working on the 3D printing.
I have tried to include useful information in the blog but I am reluctant to talk in detail about using the software because the authors really don’t seem to want it to be used for 3D printing. You can search their on-line forum for more on this issue.
