This company and individual is scamming smoothieboard customers for cryptocurrency.

I placed an order for a shield and GLCD on 10/3/2015 and received an order confirmation via email, I received a shipment notification on 10/8/2015. When I received the delivery on October 16 2015 I had received a shield with no screen. I emailed uberclock on 10/16/2015 and received no response. I emailed again on 12/22/2015 and received the following response:

"Hey.

I’m starting to handle the email for Uberclock, which has had a lot of trouble catching up on it.

I’d like to assure you that there is no intention to scam anybody, no matter what the problem is, you are definitely going to either get your order, or get reimbursed.

Can you please tell me what the problem is, and we’ll work on solving it as soon as possible.

And sorry again for the delays in answering email.

After explaining the issue again I received this response on 1/2/2016:

"Hello.

This is a mistake in shipping, the shipping department is going to send you a screen. You should get an email when it ships.

Please note, Uberclock is providing Bitcoin payment for convenience to the customer, if you do not like irreversible payment methods, you are very welcome to use another method.

It is now March 23 2016 and I still have a useless smoothie board and no GLCD screen. SmoothieBoard should do some better vetting of their select vendors.

Uberclock made a mistake shipping the order ( forgot to send the GLCD along with the adapter ), and has since had stock problems.

If they can’t solve the problem in the coming days, Robotseed ( which I think has stock right now ) will be solving the problem by sending a panel.

That is the same thing which was said on January 2nd. Stating that you have good intentions does not accomplish anything. Thief.

Same thing happened to me. Only it was a cable they did not send me. e-mailed them 3 times… no responce

Chris : Didn’t you order from Robotseed instead of Uberclock ? ( just what I recall, could be wrong )

If so, I didn’t receive anything about a missing cable.

Yes, I ordered my board and GLCD from Robotseed since Uber was out of stock. Later I ordered the Voltage regulator and usb cable from uber after I realized that I forgot to order those. I got the Voltage regulator but not the cable. Sent an e-mail to mark@uberclock.com which is the only e-mail I could find on the site. It is on the about us page.

Not worried about it anymore… don’t even use the USB cable anymore, but will keep that in mind for the future… I have been having lots of issues with this board and was thinking of getting a new one. I went through a lot of learning mistakes and who knows if some of the problems were my fault.
