Uglybot carriage. V-slot wheels , double sided plate with wheel tensioners, magnetic rods on glued balls. It’s all coming together nicely.
Why don’t you use magnetic balls instead?
Magnetic balls that size are hard to find. Both the balls and magnets in UglyBot are from dollar store toys.
Interesting… what is the advantage of having two plates either side? as opposed to one thicker plate on one side like I have on the wolfstock?
@Shachar_Weis perhaps you find it here http://www.magnet-shop.net/neodym-magnete/kugelmagnete:::56_126.html
Could you explain it liitle bit more? I’m not a technic man, but it’s very interessting. Thanks
It looks really good. I like the magnetic joint.
@Wolfmanjm I found it more structurally solid this way. I tried single plate and it would flex a bit even though it had 50% infill. With this approach the plates can be thin and light.
@Alexander_Amin I will posting a video soon with more explanations.
@Shachar_Weis thx, I’m a stupied german economic, but it looks awsome. Cheers
