I’ve seen it in use and it appears to be quite precise. Not sure about the cost though. Think you can get better bang for buck elsewhere

Ultimaker is a 3mm machine. The biggest reason I didn’t choose Ultimaker is because I had a lot of 1.75mm material and didn’t want to convert a brand new machine, and didn’t want to buy more material.

No, I’m using the “extended”. They improved the packaging and otherwise it’s the same as my Ultimaker II just with 100mm more Z volume to work with.

2.85mm(3mm) is more accurate as ±0.1 (or ±0.05)mm on 2.85 are way less of a cross-section -change then on 1.75mm filament.
On the other hand the minimum extrusion rate is much higher. This limits extremely thin (<20 micron) layers.
