Update on the Bondtech Dual Drive Extruder
Hi all, during the last week there has been a lot of optimizing of the geometry in order to minimize the material and to improve the design.
The version on the photos show the prototype drive wheels. The final verson will be with integrated gears.
I hope I can give you prices of the kit during the next week since I have been promised to get the qutations in from my suppliers.
Housing printed in silver ABS at 0.20 mm layers, acetone vapor smoothing.

Very interesting. What is the function of the screws on the side? Also looks like it is bulky for design, rather than function; true?
@Carlton_Dodd With the screws on the side you can finetune the position of the secondary drivewheel to be able to adjust it to the filament. It is designed to be able to be printed and to house the internal drive wheels. It is also designed so it can be injection molded. The final version will be a bit slimmer since the drivewheels are smaller.

Yes, very impressive. I’m just about tinkered out at the moment. I want to just print things for a while.

Also small question, perhaps I missed it in your other posts, but is the shaft of the gearbox an 8 mm one?
@Mark_Moissette_ckaos , Hi and I am glad that you like the extruder. I am currently right in the process of getting the quotes for the zero series parts wich have a more compact design to further reduce the footprint. Yes it is for an 8 mm outputshaft.
