Using FastSPI 2.1, I’m having issues with the current draw limiter. The issue is once I’m displaying on enough LEDs (mirrored array of 60 seems fine, 90 it shows issues) the blue LEDs stop functioning, causing ble and purple colors to disappear. No milliamp value seems to fix this. Meanwhile the animation looks just fine when using the old “set brightness” from 8-255 look like a perfectly even distribution of color.

Any ideas why this happens? I’d really like to be able to do brightness by current. Other thing I noticed is the brightness doesn’t change regardless of the milliamp value I use.

Here’s some simplified sample code that I can replicate with:

Thanks for the code sample; I’ll take a look at it in the next day or so (a bit frenzied here just now or else I’d do it tonight).

I bet it’s related to the mirrored strips somehow.

@Mark_Kriegsman thanks for looking into it!

Any further word on this?

Not yet. If i do get a chance before Burning Man it’ll be Friday night.

Cool, I appreciate it! If not I’ll just be conservative with brightness
