Velocity Painting Application

I rather buried this in my previous post: Guillaume Vigneron has released an application front-end for my Velocity Painting script, so now you can run it as an application on Windows, Mac and Linux! #VelocityPainting #3Dprinting

http://velocitypainting.webutu.com/

Just saw you had apps finally (fought the image magic stuff too much). Question, trying my first vase, any tips on the speed settings or is there anything that needs to be changed on the printer (jerk / accel)? It was really smooth until the painting started then the printer prints really jerky and is leaving zits and stuff, not smooth like the samples I have seen.

You shouldn’t have to change printer settings – what kind of numbers are you using for your slow and fast speeds?

I usually go for about 800mm/min slow and 2400mm/min fast. Increase the ratio of fast to slow to enhance the affect but risk holes appearing, increase both numbers keeping the ratio about the same (1:3) for a faster (but perhaps more matte) print.

Are there any mirrors for this? Antivirus blocks webutu (bitdefender)

Glad to see this coming to an application. Excellent work!

@William_Cook https://velocitypainting.000webhostapp.com is a mirror

Is the source for the new app still available?

@Mark_Hindess Not sure – I suggest you ask Guillaume using the Contact page at http://velocitypainting.webutu.com/

Still see people having issues, even with the mirror. The Mirror is giving some users this flag: Your request was denied because of its content categorization: “Phishing”

@James_Armstrong I guess the domain is on some blacklist somewhere. :frowning:
