This is a wonderful technique and expands the possibilities greatly, well done Mark. Most, if not all the models I’ve seen so far have the pattern on the sides of the object, is there a way to do this on the top or bottom faces instead ?

@Rob_Wilson Absolutely, yes. Just use projectZ rather than projectX or projectY.

Thanks muchly Mark, I just installed Repetier Host 2.0.1, and now I’ve looked at it more closely I’ve noticed the “Project on X-Y Plane” under the “Projection Method” drop-down, brilliant.
