Verbatim is getting into 3D printing! I saw the spools in the background of one of @iGo3D 's photos from the London 3D Printshow and i honestly thought they were some kind of joke at first as they look so similar to a spindle of DVD-Rs (which i still think is hilarious). But as it turns out, they are indeed now offering PLA and ABS filaments made from Mitsubishi plastic. Yay for competition!

40 Euros/Kg? Either filament is a lot more expensive in Europe, or that’s not much competition.
Includes VAT, which can be 25%. Not bad after realizing that.
The very cheapest ABS (CTC) is about 22€/kg, shipped. 40€/kg is about in line with other premium filaments.

Things are expensive in Europe! I can get good filament here (USA) for around $30 (23€)/Kg, and top quality for around $40 (31€)/Kg.
