Very happy at how precise the shapeoko2 is out of the box! I’ve done very little tweaking/calibration – haven’t even really bothered to level the bed.

crappy dremel engraving bit did surprisingly well! It has no flutes – none – just a smooth cone, so it chattered a little bit at the grain lines, but generally outperformed expectations.
the machine did great – very precise, no missed steps, well calibrated and to scale.
