Very happy with how this cut went today. First real part cut since rebuilding my y and z axis.
The levelled bed made for a perfect even cut. The cutter just barely came through the piece and the notches to hold it in place were nicely left behind. They snapped away very easily but obviously did their job holding it stay for the final pass.
Only issue is the central round hole is not quite round. There are two consistent flat spots at diagonal opposites so I guess the points where each axis is changing direction there is a slight backlash on both.
But hey, it looks great and worked consistently so I’m happy with the results.
