Wally bed is in and works going positive Z only… Repetier thinks I should have end stops. Got to change that but have forgotten how.

Meanwhile I had one more set of bearings, 6702s, to insert. I decided to try boiling water. A 4 second dip made the PLA mushy and when I tried to push the bearings in, the part crumpled.

Going to have to reprint that arm.

You can disable all the endstops in the config.h file. Just set them all to false. How the hell do you home though? Or is this just for testing?
Try heating the bearings instead. Put them in a zip lock in boiling water for five minutes then position then above the hole with pliers and press them in with the handle of a screw driver or something. You could warm the pla at 80 degrees beforehand too. Suggest you then run an appropriate shaft through the bearing to make sure it’s aligned properly before everything hardens.

I had success just blowing a heat gun at the part for 10 seconds or so and then pushing the bearing in.

I made a reamer from a piece of 5/8 (I think) copper tubing the diameter of the bearing with some slots filed in it. Made a nice snug pocket. This was on a Morgan.

@Tim_Rastall homing is easy. Drop the bed for Z, pull arms out straight for XY (there are tabs that stop you when they are straight). Not that XYZ really apply in Wally’s Polar world.
