Want to make a interlocking/stacking 3d laser cut model from an stl… Check out http://www.123dapp.com you can specify output page size to make very large models even with the limited cutting area of a K40 or A4 size diode

Output looks like this and it generates an assembly guide and numbers the parts

They could work on their nesting a bit to maximize the pieces per page… But other than that works pretty good
