Wanted to share a sense of great satisfaction…
I have not had to level or adjust the beds on my printers for a very long time now. Many prints and 100’s of hours later I’m still loading files and selecting print with excellent results. This is the result of some current projects first layers (0.2 mm) across a majority of the 10 x 10 bed.
A precision printer that is stable, reliable and highly accurate is a thing of great comfort. These prints are coming out perfectly flat.
A lot of people look at me funny for getting excited about such things but I know there are many in this community that will share in my sense of satisfaction.
These are Rigidbot 2’s. I also have a Rigidbot Big Dual head and I’m building an RBB3 dual head with a 14" Z. Best printers I’ve ever worked with.
Even though the company Rigidbot has closed it’s doors the printers are still alive and very well supported with some great upgrades coming.

These are parts for my RBB3.
I’m sad for rigidbot, liked their printers.
They are wide at 3" (75 mm) apart and very stable. The print nozzle is right in the middle of them. The bed moves front to back so I lose nothing in print space in Y. I can print on the full 10 x 10 area. The bed is physically 11 x 11 with the 1/2" overhang used to mount the heated bed PCB through tabs that avoid bolt contact with the heat traces.
