Wanted to thank everyone that came out to Makerfaire NY this weekend and visited our booth! Had a blast showing off the Deltaprintr and meeting a bunch of interesting people. Here are some pictures. #3dprinting reprap #makerfaire

Interesting printer!
But your Kickstarter “thanks for signing up” email is sending out this:
Thank%20you%20for%20signing%20up%20to%20find%20out%20when%20Deltaprintr%20launches!%20You’ll%20be%20first%20in%20line%20to%20get%20this%20brand%20new%203D%20Printer!%0A%0AYou%20can%20really%20help%20us%20out%20by%20sharing%20with%20your%20friends%20using%20this%20custom%20referral%20link%20made%20for%20you%3A%20%7BREFURL%7D%0A%0AWe’re%20going%20to%20offer%20a%20FREE%20deltaprintr%20to%20the%20person%20who%20gets%20the%20most%20referral%20signups!%20(To%20be%20revealed%20during%20the%20Kickstarter%20campaign)%20(Disclaimer%3A%20If%20we%20are%20successfully%20funded.)%0A%0ABe%20sure%20to%20follow%20us!%0AFB%3A%http://20facebook.com%2Fdeltaprintr%0ATwitter%3A%http://20twitter.com%2FDeltaprintr%0AInstagram%3A%20deltaprintr%0A%0AThank%20you%2C%0A%0AThe%20Deltaprintr%20Team%09%09%09%09%09%09%09%09%09%09%09%09%09%09%09%09%09
I imagine you wanted more spaces in it.
Good luck!
Sorry for the email Romeo, we’re aware of the situation and are working on fixing it. It’s something wrong with Launchrock (our subscription signup platform that we’re using).
No problem…I figured you would know what to do! Good luck with your campaign. Do you have video of the printer working? ( I haven’t looked too hard for any yet). I use Stratasys Dimension machines for work, and I am intrigued by the (apparent) simplicity of this platform. Can you run other materials (ABS)? Sorry for the naive questions…I’m a user, not a Maker!
Totally fine Romeo! We’re currently only using PLA to keep things simple and make sure we don’t have hiccups. Using only PLA allows us to 1) lower the price because there’s no heated bed 2) use a laptop power supply instead of bulky expensive CPU power supplies 3) it’s much friendlier to print with and it’s food safe and no fumes when printing.
We don’t have an (official) video of the printer working…but I would make a good guess that if you searched around you may find one, multiple news websites published about us and have our printer on camera when it was at makerfaire. If you still haven’t watched our teaser trailer, you can do so here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUaiNASJB2k
Thanks,
Shai
I see, thanks for the info. So the heated environment of a commercial FDM machine is required because of the ABS material… If you don’t need the heated platen or environment (obviously) much of the cost / complexity goes away.
I have seen the teaser, which is why I looking for more!
Thanks again, and good luck!
I posted your pictures linking back on @3D_Prints_of_the_Wor , hope that’s ok. http://3dprintsoftheworld.com/blog/deltaprintr-makerfaire-ny
Let me know!
@Ivan_Raszl That’s totally fine! Thanks!
