Wasn’t going to post this one, since it’s the prototype and not a production piece.
But oh well.
This clamps to my #mill #spindle
Hold a #dialindicator
Let’s me check a part to surface for level, and edges for square.
#3dprinted so it won’t mar any surfaces.
#dualextrusion
The black and the green are both printed together.
The thumb screw my finger is on its threaded 8-1.25 mm internal to accept the clamp bolt.
The other is 6-1.0 mm external thread with a ball on end to contact the indicator body. All #3dprinting threads and all.
Only piece here that isn’t is the hex bolt used for the clamping force.
The letters are flush with the surface.
Nice contrast I think

Ha, I was thinking about making one from alu and now you show me this. A lot easier.
Back to the drawing board.
@Lykle_Schepers I have been needing one. And thought about aluminum. Just been putting it off. Then it hit me, I have a 3d printer, lol. I like it better. The hole for the indicator isn’t round, that way whatever size I out in there I know it tight against the holder and won’t wobnle
Nice! Designing one as we speak. Thanks
