Water-soluble materials into consumable, who understand it? I want to know what it practices. Thank you!
Am I understanding correctly that you want to know what water-soluble filament is used for?
No, I would like to own some of filament production, but I do not know the recipes and ingredients.
Water-soluble filament is PVA (polyvinyl acetate), which is also the main ingredient in wood glue or generic white glue.
The other type of soluble filament is HIPS (high impact polystyrene), which is soluble in limonene.
As any other type of filament, these are simply extruded from raw resin (pellets).
But, how do I make white glue into a filament it? You know, white plastic is a liquid, what do I need to add other additives? Thank you!
PVA does come in solid, pelleted form, no additives needed.
http://taobao.cn or http://1688.com should list a couple manufacturers in your region (search for PVA resin).
